Abstract
The transition from deterministic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to probabilistic Generative Engine Optimisation (AI-GEO) has precipitated an unprecedented epistemic crisis within the global digital ecosystem. The unchecked proliferation of zero-marginal-cost synthetic media has neutralised traditional proprietary assets, rendering the Resource-Based View (RBV) obsolete and triggering a digital market failure analogous to Akerlof’s “Market for Lemons.” In response to this algorithmic volatility and a submerged governance vacuum characterised by widespread regulatory enforcement paralysis, an urgent theoretical pivot to a Legitimacy-Based View (LBV) is imperative.

This article outlines the comprehensive Year One operational and legislative roadmap (October 2026 – September 2027) for a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) research project proposing The FiduNode™—a radical 18-node fiduciary governance framework. By transposing the physical compliance and vetting mechanics of historical UK security law into the digital realm alongside federated cryptographic tools, this framework seeks to mandate verifiable, hard-coded statutory accountability across the global digital supply chain.

Anchored in the philosophy of pragmatism, the research methodology utilises the SPIDER and SALSA frameworks, interrogated through a strict five-element analytical lens (Technological, Organisational, Environmental, Economic, and Human Resources). This roadmap details the precise execution of Stage 1 (Design and Ethics) and Stage 2 (Systematic Literature Review [SLR] and Recruitment). To guarantee epistemological safety and overcome the inherent risk aversion of highly guarded C-suite executives, the methodology establishes an impenetrable ethical fortress. This includes a bespoke two-stage onboarding protocol initiated exclusively via the AES-256 encrypted Signable platform. The protocol employs a calibrated, diplomatic escalation of security—incorporating embedded encrypted widgets for the initial frictionless viewing of the Participant Information Sheet (PIS), a mandatory 48-hour cooling-off period, and password-protected envelopes secured by Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via SMS—to guarantee absolute chain of custody for the formal Research Ethics Consent Form.

Supported by the critical institutional credibility of formal funding, the project leverages network gatekeepers at iTech Wales to facilitate the purposive sampling of 15 to 20 elite board-level practitioners, whilst strictly quarantining malicious adversarial actors (the Anti-Node). Concurrently, an exhaustive, continuous SLR constructs the framework’s coercive “punitive roof” by rigorously interrogating a Master List of domestic statutes, cross-border treaties, and pedagogical standards (Education 4.0).

By seamlessly converging strict legislative scrutiny, theoretical synthesis, and military-grade data custody protocols, this twelve-month masterplan lays the infallible groundwork required for Stage 3 phenomenological fieldwork. Ultimately, it transitions the research from passively observing digital market failure to actively blueprinting the statutory architecture necessary to establish verifiable trust, prevent algorithmic harm, and secure the global digital commons throughout the Generative AI transition.
